FOR YOUR SAFETY:
Read the operating instructions and the safety notices in their entirety before working with this equipment to ensure you work safely. Closely follow the
instructions and directions contained within them.
o Comply with the safety instructions for the drilling device used.
o To ensure that the device operates correctly, only the blind rivets included in the technical characteristics can be used with a suitable bit.
MACHINE COMPONENTS:
Stroke
44mm
(7/4“)
Rivet length (max.)
30 mm (5/4“)
Weight approx
ca. 600g
Length
180 mm (7“)
Diameter
60 mm (2 ½“)
From the drive shaft - Ø
8 mm (5/16“)
INTENDED PURPOSE:
The device is designed to be connected to drills with reversible rotation in order
to attach blind rivets, matching the diameter and material indicated above.
The user assumes full responsibility for damage resulting from use of the machine for a purpose for
which the machine was not
designed.
MACHINE COMPONENTS
1 Riveter adaptor for blind rivets
2 Drive shaft
3 Bit
4 Testing bore
5 Blind rivet
The accessories shown or described here are not necessarily supplied.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR SETUP:
Fix the riveter adaptor to the drilling device (figure A)
It is recommended that a minimum 14 V battery-powered drill is used as the drilling device.
Fix the drive shaft 2 for the riveter adaptor 1 in the drilling machine and tighten it.
Bit choice
Use one of the bits (supplied with the device), corresponding to the diameter of the blind rivet 5 to
be attached:
- bit 3.0/3.2 mm (1/8”)
- bit 4.0 mm (5/32”)
- bit 4.8/5.00 mm (3/16”)
- bit 6.4 mm (1/4”)
If the wrong bit or an unsuitable bit is used, the riveter adaptor may fail.
Steps to follow
Before starting work, make sure that the testing bore 4 found on the device is properly closed (figure
B)
If it is not, switch the drilling device to anti-clockwise rotation, and allow it to run until a clear ‘click’
is heard. This indicates that the clamping jaw of the rivet holder is in the correct position and that
the machine is ready for use.
Switch the drilling device to clockwise rotation. Place the blind rivet 5 into the correct bit found on
the rivet adaptor (figure C)
Position the rivet adaptor, the rivet once introduced, in the bore for the parts to be connected.
Once the drilling device is running, keep the riveter adaptor level with the protective sleeve in order
to trigger the push back of the rivet sleeve and to break the rivet pin at the predetermined breaking
point (figure D).
Once the rivet is fixed, switch the drill apparatus to anti-clockwise rotation again, and keep it run-
ning until the rivet pin, moving once again into the rivet adaptor case, is ejected (figure E).
MAINTENANCE AND CLEANING:
Clean the clamp jaws from time to time to remove zinc deposits and then oil them.
If, despite all the care taken in manufacturing and checking the device, it appears to be defective,
repair must only be carried out by an Aftersales service point.
