The Benson Global has a lead on the indoor unit that when closed by a relay or switch will keep the
hot water system ac vated.
All other normal opera ons are available
off the Infra Red or Wall Controller.
Ambient condi ons and Performance Heat Pump Hot Water
In Lower ambient c
ons the system performance will be reduced, the system uses the outdoor
unit to absorb heat from the atmosphere, if the temperature is low the heat absorp on will be less
and the hot it is the more heat is absorbed and the performance is naturally higher.
Do not be alarmed about frost appearing on the system in low ambient condi ons, the system will
autom cally defrost /deice the system, this takes 5-7minutes and whooshing of refrigerant maybe
heard during this cycle, once again this normal and do not be alarmed.
On Heat Pump hot water the indoor unit also has refrigerant pass through it, so some cracking maybe
heard as the indoor coil (metal) expands in the ABS indoor casing.
