ALTITUDE
The altitude tape, displayed on the right side of the PFD, uses a
fixed pointer moving scale arrangement, with a rolling drum digital
readout of the current altitude. The instrument range is -1000 to
35,000 FT at standard pressure, with a display resolution of 20 FT.

The scale has minor tick marks every 20 FT and major tick marks
every 100 FT. A minimum of two digits are displayed with leading zeros
when necessary. For negative altitudes, a leading minus sign is dis-
played. A chevron “
< “ marks every 500 FT increment (500, 1000, etc.).
