xVue Touch Experimental Pilot’s Guide

WIND

The wind, displayed above the selected heading field, is shown in two
different formats:

Vector Wind Format (single arrow)

Rectangular Wind Format (Headwind/Crosswind) (double arrow)

The wind speed range is 0-255 KTS, with a resolution of 1 KT. The
wind direction range is 001-360

°.

VECTOR WIND FORMAT

The vector wind arrow indicates the direction of the wind relative to
the airplane heading. The tail of the arrow indicates the calculated
direction the wind is coming from.

RECTANGULAR WIND FORMAT (HEADWIND/

CROSSWIND)

When the rectangular wind format is selected, the wind display is bro-
ken down into a headwind and crosswind component.

NOTE: When the wind speed is

2 KTS, there is no wind. The wind

field is removed from the display when the airplane is on
the ground or when the wind field is invalid.
