INSTALLING THE OPTIONAL EVACUATION SLYDE SLEEVE AND THE BARIATRIC EVACUATION SLYDE SLEEVE
To install the Evacuation Slyde Sleeve/Bariatric Evacuation Slyde Sleeve
("Sleeve")
:
1. Designate an appropriate location to mount the Sleeve where it is sitting directly on the floor and propped up
against a wall.
• Do not store Evacuation Slyde/Bariatric Evacuation
Slyde or Stairwell Belay System
in direct sunlight or in a moist
environment.
Keep device and equipment out of direct contact with flames.
Note:
The Evacuation Slyde
/ Bariatric Evacuation Slyde
Sleeve extends out from the wall about 8” (20.32 cm).
2. Remove the Velcro® backing from the back of the Sleeve

.
Note, the backing may be in the front pocket.
3. Measure the distance between the Velcro straps that are sewn into the back of the storage sleeve. Use this
measurement to space the straps before mounting them to the wall.
4. Using the Velcro strap as a template, mount the Velcro backing straps to the wall by using six fasteners and washers
(not supplied)

5. Unzip and spread the Sleeve flat on the floor to expose the inner straps (with buckles)

6. Stack Slydes (up to 5 high) and secure them with the straps and buckles

7. Zip the Sleeve to close.
8. Stand the Sleeve upright into position and secure the Velcro backing mounted to the wall.
9. Store your Evacuation Plan in the front plastic pouch, so it is visible to staff and
employees

10. Store the Stairwell Belay System (Belluscura p/n 6400-020-000), if purchased, in the
front zip pocket
