6.4.2. Configuration of the scanner
Doubleclick on the used scanner module to open the dialogue box for configuring the scanner.
Select the folder
Scanlist and move the LioN-Link system from the list Available Devices to the list Scanlist.
If the LioN-Link system is not part of the scanlist the scanner will not establish communication with it.
Select the button
Edit I/O Parameters… or doubleclick on the device name of the LioN-Link system in the scanlist to edit the
I/O-parameters. Select desired communication mode and the number of input and output bytes. The number of input and
output bytes is automatically determined if the configuration tool supports modular EDS-files. Otherwise the number of input
and output bytes has to be calculated and entered manually.
The folders
Input and Output of the scanner’s dialogue box show the allocation of the input and output bytes of the LioN-Link
system in the PLC’s memory. The input and output bytes can be mapped automatically or allocated manually.
