Depending on the server configuration, if a client moves to a different subnet, it 

may need to timeout the current IP address (approx. 30 seconds) and then 

restart the DHCP sequence. During this process the client may use the 

standard default IP address for Microsoft Windows (169.254.X.X).

Wireless Client 

Details

/interface/wifi-<n>-<m>/show client <1|2|...|2007> 
                                           [throughput] [stats]

This command displays the details of a wireless client that is associated or was 
recently associated with the AP. You determine the client number 

<1|2|...|2007>

 with the 

show clients 

command. See 

“Displaying Associated 

Wireless Clients” on page 87

. 

The 

throughput

 parameter displays additional information on traffic throughput. 

The 

stats

 parameter allows displays additional information on packet statistics. 

ack

Client has sent a DHCP Request message and the server has 

confirmed the assigned IP address. 

(a * appended to the value indicates a completed DHCP process.)

nack

Server has responded to the client’s DHCP request with a DHCP 

Nack message. Verify the server settings.

relse

Client has sent a DHCP Release message.

inform

Client has sent a DHCP Inform message. Depending on the server, 

the server may respond with a DHCP Ack message.

arpRes

Client has gone through one of the DHCP state transitions and 

replied to an ARP request for its IP address.
