Saving and
Restoring the
BelAir100SN
Configuration
In addition to the previously described
config-save
and
config-restore
commands, the following commands let you save changes from the system
defaults.
Copying the
Configuration Database
to the Standby Load
/system/syscmd backupToShadow
This command copies the configuration database from the active software load
in persistent storage to the standby software load in persistent storage. (The
term
Shadow
refers to the standby software load.)
Note: The parameters of the
syscmd
command are case sensitive.
Restoring the
Configuration Database
from the Standby Load
/system/syscmd restoreFromShadow
This command copies the configuration database from the standby software
load in persistent storage to the active software load in persistent storage. (The
term
Shadow
refers to the standby software load.)
Use the
reboot
command for the new configuration to take effect.
Note: The parameters of the
syscmd
command are case sensitive.
Displaying the Running
Configuration
/system/show running-configuration
This command displays the configuration that the node is currently operating
with. It executes a series of
show
commands with results displayed on the CLI
screen. Use the scroll bar of the Telnet or SSH window to see any particular
section of the output.
Restarting the
Node
/system/reboot [{force}]
/system/show restart-reason
The
reboot
command restarts the entire node. You must confirm your intent
before the node is rebooted.
Under some circumstances, a reboot may be prevented because of processing
from other user sessions. Use the
force
parameter to override these
restrictions and restart the node regardless.
The
show restart-reason
command displays the reason for the last restart.
