6.4.  ModBus setup

The METPOINT

®

 FLM thermal flow meter is equipped with a RS485 interface (ModBus RTU). Before starting the sensor, configure 

the communication parameters 

• 

ModBus ID, baud rate, parity and stop bit

to enable communication with the ModBus master.

Setup

  ModBus Setup

Save the settings by pressing the "Save" button.
 To apply the default (factory) settings, press the 

 

"Set to Default" button.

Parity:   

even

Caution: 

If the sensor is the last device in the Modbus system, it must be terminated. The sensors are equipped with a built-in terminator. 
To activate termination, loosen the 2 setscrews of the housing, remove the lid and set the DIP switch to "On". When closing the 
sensor housing, ensure that the housing gasket is correctly installed.
