3. X32 Setup
•
MADI Mode
selects either AES10-1991/56-channel or
AES10-2003/64-channel operation
•
MADI Chan In
selects the start channel for the block of
32-ch that will be available for input routing: MADI ch 01,
ch 09, ch 17, ch 25, ch 33 (in 64 channel mode)
•
MADI Chan Out
selects the start channel for the block
of 32-ch that will be replaced in the MADI output stream:
MADI ch 01, ch 09, ch 17, ch 25, ch 33 (in 64 channel mode)
•
MADI Source
selection boxes for MADI connection – fiber-
optic and/or coaxial. Select both for redundant use of coaxial
and fiber-optic connections.
•
X-MADI card can be selected as the clock source on the
X32 Setup/config page. In that case, the X32 will be slaved
to the MADI clock received on BNC input or fiber-optic
inputs. Note that this may require rebooting the console
if the internal and external clock rates are different
(i.e. 44.1/48 kHz).
4. Connector Plate
•
Dual BNC coaxial input and outputs, 75 Ohm
•
Cables up to 100 meters in length may be used.
•
SC-plug duplex fiber-optic connector (IEC874-19)
•
Use SC duplex connectors and multimode fiber-optic
cable with 50-micron core / 125-micron cladding
diameters, or a 62.5-micron core / 125-micron
cladding diameters.
•
Cables up to 2 km in length may be used.
•
2x small handles for removing the expansion card
from the slot
•
2x M3x6 screws for fastening the card in the slot
•
3 countersunk M3 screws for fixing the pcb.
Don’t loosen these!
