Cleaning the irradiation chamber
The mechanical or chemical cleaning processes always in the off state of the UV system
perform.
The cleaning of the reactor interior space is carried out manually. The UV system is
suitable for CIP briefly up to 90 ° C. For cleaning, we recommend a flow rate of 2m / s.
A sterilization time of 10-30 minutes with saturated steam at a pressure of 2.5 to 4 bar
is optimal.
There the inlet and outlet of the UV reactor is closed and made an unpressurized state.
Purification by liquid auxiliaries, can be applied to purge / Vent connection and drain /
flushing connection are made. Information for the installation, see the Installation
diagram.
The mechanical cleaning of the reactor interior is done "cleaning quartz immersion tube"
as described in point. In addition, after the free access to the reactor interior space an
auxiliary liquid can be used, or with a suitable brush the Rei-acceleration occurs. It
should be noted that the measurement window of the UV sensor and the dip-tubes are
not scratched.
It is recommended that a rotational basis to carry out the cleaning with the UV lamp
replacement.
After cleaning the UV system is like in point proceed "Commissioning" and to consider
the work areas.

Cleaning with cleaning products
EFFECT
CARELA UV CLEAR ® is a highly effective cleaner that was developed in collaboration
with leading manufacturers of UV equipment and tested. It liberates the quartz tubes
reliably and quickly from mineral deposits and biofilms.
After such cleaning, the UV light can shine again unhindered by the fused silica - the
fault-free water disinfection or - oxidation is again guaranteed.
COMPOSITION
CARELA UV CLEAR ® contains mineral acid, anionic surfactants, as well as low-foam
wetting agent. It is suitable for free from chlorides and hydrochloric acid, and thus for
use on stainless steel. On organic acids, phosphates and other environmentally harmful
