Insert batteries supplied by respecting correct polarity. Batteries
with reversed polarity can lead to instrument destruction. Fur-
thermore, they may explode or ignite.
Avoid any heating up of the instrument by direct sunlight to en-
sure perfect functioning and long instrument life.
3.1
Appropriate Usage
The instrument may only be used under those conditions and for
those purposes for which it was conceived. For this reason, in
particular the safety references, the technical data including en-
vironmental conditions and the usage in dry environments must
be followed.
When modifying or changing the instrument, the operational
safety is no longer ensured.
4.0
Preparation for Operation
1.) Windbreak
The windbreak supplied should always be installed for outdoor
measurements, in case of strong air movements, or in dusty en-
vironments. Wind noise at the microphone results in erroneous
measurements. Furthermore, the windbreak protects the micro-
phone from humidity and mechanical shock.
