Before switching to a new function, disconnect probes from
the UUT.
Only handle test leads and probes on the grips provided. Avoid
touching the probes under any circumstances.
With the
UNITEST
Clamp Meter you can measure frequency in both
the current and voltage modes.
4
Turn selector switch (3) to “Hz“.
4
Measurement in current mode: open the clamp, and close it
round the conductor. Make sure that the clamp properly encircles
the conductor, and that there is no air gap between the jaws.
Measurement in voltage mode: plug the black test lead into the
“COM“ socket and the red lead into the “+“ socket.
Connect the probes to the UUT and read the display.
4
To select the input sensitivity press the “ “ button.
If the display is not visible during measurement, press the
“ “ button (2) to retain the display. The clamp can then be
removed from the conductor and the stored value read.
4.5 Resistance measurements
Disconnect the UUT from all sources of supply and check that
it is at zero voltage.
4
Turn selector switch (3) to “
V
“.
4
Plug the black test lead into the “COM“ socket and the red lead
into the “+“ socket.
4
Connect the probes to the UUT and read the display.
4
The optimum range is set automatically.
To change the range manually press the “ “ button one or
more times, until the desired range is displayed.
If the display is not visible during measurement, press the
“ “ button (2) to retain the display. The probes can then be
removed from the conductor and the stored value read.
