Drip Stop
The device has a drip stop which stops coffee dripping from the coffee tank (
2
) while the coffee
dispenser (
6
) is not being pressed.
During the brewing process and while the device is in operation, care must be taken to ensure
that nothing constantly presses against the coffee dispenser.
Preparation
NOTICES
•
Do not operate the device without water or with less water than is required to reach
the
2 Cups
mark. If this does happen, the device switches off automatically. In this case,
allow the device to cool down before water is poured in and the device is used again.
•
Never detach the coffee tank to transport or serve hot coffee.
•
Never press the coffee dispenser without a suitable vessel placed below the coffee
outlet.
1. Fill the water tank (
7
) (see the “Handling and Operation” chapter – “Filling the Water
Tank”).
2. Insert the permanent
fi
lter or a basket
fi
lter paper (see the “Handling and Operation”
chapter – “Inserting the Filter”).
3. Add the quantity of coffee powder you want to the
fi
lter using the measuring spoon which
is supplied with the device or another suitable spoon. We recommend one heaped measur-
ing spoon for each 125 ml cup (

).
4. Close the lid (

).
5. If necessary, set the desired brew strength with the
BRÜHSTÄRKE
(brew strength)
button
(
15
) (see the “Handling and Operation” chapter – “Setting the Brew Strength”).
6. If you wish, set the keep-warm function using the
WARMHALTEN
(keep warm)
button
(
12
) (see the “Handling and Operation” chapter – “Keep-Warm Function”).
7. Press
the
START / STOP
button (
16
) to start the brewing process. The operating lamp in
the button lights up. The water is transported from the water tank through the
fi

the coffee tank (

) and kept warm inside it (
PICTURE C
).
8. The
fi
ll-level indicator (
3
) indicates how much coffee is in the coffee tank (
Picture D
).
At the end of the brewing process, you will hear a beep and the device automatically switches
on the keep-warm function (see the
“Handling and Operation” chapter –
“Keep-Warm
Function”). The operating lamp in the
START / STOPP
(start / stop)
button remains switched
on.
If the brewing process is to be aborted prematurely, press the
START / STOPP
(start / stop)
