5. Water distiller with built in tank automatic
controller principle of operation
5.1. The water distiller is connected to the mains using a plug (for 1.5 kW version of BEAR
B 1104 and BEAR B 1204) or an input circuit breaker (BA) (for 3 kW version of BEAR B
1104 and BEAR B 1204 and all versions of BEAR B 1110, BEAR B 1210, BEAR B 1125) ,
which should be installed by the Customer and is intended for the overload / short cir-
cuit protection of electric circuits; it is selected by the 10xIn overcurrent tripping setting
(where In is a rated current).
5.2. The water distiller is started by setting the toggle POWER switch to ON, at the same
time the POWER LED lights and supply voltage is applied to the automatic device that
activates raw water supply valve 21 (Figure 1), at the same time the INLET WATER led
lights.
5.3. When the water level in the evaporator 2 (Figure 1) reaches the bottom sensor 9, at the
same time the NORMAL WATER LEVEL LED lights, the automatic device activates the
heater (s) 17 (Figure 1), at the same time the switch HEATER LED lights.
5.4. When the evaporator water level lowers below the admissible level (below the level
sensor 9) the automatic device switches the heater OFF, at the same time the switch
led HEATER turns off.
5.5. The Low water thermostat sensor 10 (Figure 1) ensures an additional emergency shut-
down of the water still in the case of water level lowering and the heater temperature
rise over 150 ̊С.
5.6. When the distillate collector is filled up to the level sensor 11 (Figure 1), the automatic
device stops the heater 17 (Figure 1) and shuts raw water supply valve 11 (Figure 1) off,
at the same time HEATER LED and INLET WATER LED turns off. The FULL RESERVOIR
LED lights.
5.7. When distillate is drained from the collector, The FULL RESERVOIR LED turns off, the
automatic controller activates raw water supply valve 21 and the heaters 17 (Figure 1) at
the same time the INLET WATER and HEATERS LEDS lights
5.8. When water overflows in the evaporator 2 (Figure 1) or equalizer 7, the water level
reaches the top-level control sensor in the evaporator 7 or level sensor in the equaliz-
er 24, the automatic controller switches the heater 17 and raw water supply valve 21
OFF and the HIGH WATER LEVEL LED will be lit. To continue the operation, you should
switch toggle POWER switch OFF, eliminate the cause of overflow and switch the tog-
gle POWER switch to ON.
5.9. Upon completion of operation you should cut the water distiller of the mains. Switch
toggle POWER switch and input circuit breaker off.
