• The extreme increase in temperature of a lithium battery can cause it to ignite or even

explode, causing serious damage to nearby people or the environment. The causes of

this increase in temperature may be the following:

• Incineration of the battery.

• Direct and prolonged exposure to the sun (on high temperature days) or to a source of

fire.

• Electrical over-consumption of the tool to which the battery is connected, when this

tool is subjected to forced work.

• Electrical overload due to connection to a charger for more time than needed.

• Electrical overload due to connection to a charger with characteristics other than those

required.

• Overload due to direct contact between the positive and negative terminals with a

conductive metal element.

• Increasing temperature may also cause leakage of liquids from the battery, which may

cause intoxication or skin or eye irritation. To avoid this, consider not hitting, opening or

incinerating the battery. Consider also the above. In case of contact with these liquids,

wash thoroughly with water. In case of contact with eyes or intoxication, seek medical

help.

Our battery is built with an intelligent electronic system that protects it from electrical

and temperature overloads, increasing security to prevent the battery from being

damaged. However, this cannot control the action of users who handle it incorrectly,

recklessly and unsafely.

• Never use a battery that is damaged, broken or with its terminals defective. There is a

danger of electric shock, liquid leakage or sparking that could result in fire. Replace it.

• Never use a charger other than the recommended. It must be constructed with the

necessary elements to safeguard battery life, personal safety and the environment.

Li-ion battery use and care

• The battery pack of this tool is delivered with a low charge, so it must be fully charged

before using the machine.

• Batteries may leak or explode if not charged or handled properly. Always consider the

following precautions when handling batteries. Make sure the machine is turned off

before removing or inserting the battery.

• Small leakage of liquid in the battery may occur under extreme temperature or

operating conditions.  This does not necessarily indicate a problem, however, if the outer

seal is broken and the liquid comes in contact with your skin, wash the affected area

quickly with soap and water. If the liquid touches your eyes, wash with clean water for

at least 1 minute and seek medical attention immediately.

• Do not attempt to place the battery in the opposite direction.

• Do not short-circuit or attempt to disassemble the battery.

• Do not expose the battery to flames or excessive heat, even if it is severely damaged

or can not longer hold a charge, as it may explode and cause a fire.

• Do not immerse or expose the battery to water.

• Do not store or transport the battery together with loose metal objects, such as drill

bits.

• Batteries are prone to leakage when discharged. To avoid damage to the product,

remove or charge the battery when no charge remains. Store the battery in a cool place

when not in use.

• After prolonged use, the battery may overheat.

• Before removing the battery, turn off the machine and let the battery cool down.  Do

not use the battery if you notice any discoloration or distortion of its housing.

• Never attempt to open a battery for any reason. If the covering plastic opens or breaks,

stop immediately the use and do not recharge it.

• Do not store or carry a spare battery pack in a pocket or toolbox or any other place

where it may come into contact with metal objects. The battery may short-circuit,

causing damage to the battery itself, burns or fire.
