Receiving Settings 

BE2000E settings are retrieved by clicking the 

GetFromUnit 

button. This causes the BE2000E settings to 

be displayed on the settings screen. Settings can also be received from the BE2000E by clicking 

Communications

 on the menu bar and clicking 

Get From Unit.

 

Saving Settings to BE2000E Memory 

Settings are saved in nonvolatile memory (EEPROM). In the event of a power loss, these are the settings 
that are active at power up. If settings are changed and sent to the BE2000E but not sent to EEPROM, 
the changed settings are lost if BE2000E operating power is lost. When exiting BESTCOMS-BE2000E or 
closing communication, you are asked if you want to save the settings to EEPROM. This question is 
asked even if no settings changes were made. 

When communication is enabled, setting changes are saved to EEPROM by clicking the EEPROM 
button. The opportunity to save settings to EEPROM is also given through a dialog box when exiting 
BESTCOMS-BE2000E or closing communication. 

Setting Definitions 

Each of the six setting groups has a corresponding BESTCOMS-BE2000E screen. The settings of each 
screen are categorized by one or more tabs. In the following paragraphs, settings are arranged and 
defined according to the organization of the BESTCOMS-BE2000E screens and tabs. 

System Configuration

System Settings 

System settings are shown in Figure 20 and are described in the following paragraphs. 

Sensing Voltage.

 This setting is used to configure the BE2000E for either single-phase or three-phase 

sensing voltage. 

Version Numbers.

 These two version numbers are read-only. They indicate the BESTCOMS-BE2000E 

software version and the BE2000E embedded software version. If a BE2000E version number is not 
shown, then the PC and software have not communicated with the BE2000E. The BE2000E version 
number is indicated only when communication between the BE2000E and BESTCOMS-BE2000E occurs. 

Bus PT Ratio. 

The ratio of the bus sensing transformer is entered in this setting field. This ratio allows the 

voltage displayed through BESTCOMS-BE2000E to match the actual bus output voltage. A ratio of 1 to 
150 may be entered in increments of 0.01 

Regulator Sensing Voltage (V).

 The nominal generator line-to-line ac voltage obtained from the generator 

sensing transformer is entered in this setting field. Voltages within the ranges of 100 to 140 Vac, 200 to 
280 Vac, or 340 to 560 Vac may be entered in 0.1 Vac increments. A setting of 600 Vac is also possible. 

Regulator Sensing Current (A).

 This read-only field indicates the rated output of the current transformer 

(CT) that supplies the BE2000E with B-phase generator line current. 

Rated KVAR Value. 

This read-only field displays the rated kvar value. 

Voltage Low-Line Scale Factor. 

This setting defines the scale value applied to the voltage setpoint, the 

fine voltage adjust band limits, and the line voltage dependent protection thresholds when the 52JK input 
is configured as Low-Line Override.
