Descaling
CAUTION!
Failure to conduct regular descaling - in accordance with the
instructions - may be the basis for rejecting complaints.
The warranty does not cover this type of complaint!
Descale the device regularly!
o
Inappropriate water may lead to scale deposit in the water tank. This results in
longer heating time and might damage the device.
Note: To limit scale deposits in the water tank with the water hardness
exceeding 5° d.H
(
according to German degrees of hardness), we recommend
installing an appropriate water softening device.
o
We recommend ecological descaling with use of vinegar or citric acid. Prepare
water and vinegar solution
(ratio
3:1
) or
water and citric acid solution
(
2 table-
spoons per 1 l
of water) and pour it into the tank. We recommend leaving the
descaling solution for ca. 1 hour.
o
Make sure that the automatic refill ON/OFF switch is in
“O”
position.
o
Turn the device on using the ON/OFF switch and boil the descaling solution.
o
Then leave the device to cool off for some time.
o
After the device has cooled off, pour out the descaling solution from the water tank to
an appropriate container and thoroughly and
a few times
rinse the water tank with
fresh water. To remove the descaling solution completely, drain some water through
the drain tap.
o
When using other commercial descalers follow the manufacturer's instructions.
Storing of the device
o
If the device is not used for a longer time, clean it thoroughly according to the
instructions above and store it in a dry, clean place, protected from cold, sunlight,
and children. Do not place any heavy objects on the device.
