Horsepower Limiting Adjustment
The point at which the Plus1 module begins to limit engine horsepower can be adjusted via the trim potentiometer
on the Plus1 wiring harness. The horsepower limiting can be adjusted to engage when the engine load reaches
between 80% and 90%.
· Turning the adjustment potentiometer fully CCW engages the horsepower limiting when the engine reaches
80% load.
· Turning the adjustment potentiometer fully CW engages the horsepower limiting when the engine reaches 90%
load.
· It is suggested that the system operate with the adjustment potentiometer set at the middle of its adjustment
range.
Fault Codes
Fault checking and blink codes are incorporated into the Plus1 setup. If the red LED fault lamp is on, the source of
the error can be found by identifying the blink code and corresponding fault listed below:
Red LED Blink Codes
21 = Throttle Position Sensor Fault
22 = Throttle Calibration Fault
23 = Trim Fault
24 = Trim Calibration Fault
25 = Pump De-Stroke Coil Fault
26 = RPM Feedback Fault
27 = J1939 Communication Fault
28 = Input Setup Fault
For Blink Code 24 - (Blink Blink – Blink Blink Blink Blink)
The trim potentiometer is incorrectly calibrated. The following steps will correctly calibrate the trim potentiometer
and stop the blink code.
· Turn ignition key to off position
· Unplug the trim potentiometer from the Deutsch connector
· Turn ignition key to the on position
· Plug potentiometer back into the Deutsch connector
· Turn potentiometer all the way CCW (or CW)
· Wait 3-5 seconds
· Turn potentiometer all the way CW (or CCW)
· Wait 5 seconds and the blink code will stop
