Association
The audio stream can be con

gured to be Associated with a video stream, but Association can also be
disabled, for audio streams which are independent of the video.

USB HID
Remote control
The NGS-D320 supports the use of keyboard and mouse to enable remote control of connected sources
over the network.
HID events are sent across the network i.a.w. VNC (RFB) protocol (RFC6143).
Hardware decoding
When having a setup between an NGS-D320 encoder and NGS-D320 decoder, then:
•
Connect any USB keyboard and mouse to the decoder
•
Connect the PC via USB to the encoder
•
Set the PC keyboard
local
to match the actual connected keyboard (either use ”locale” or use “layout”).
The network is transparent for keyboard operation. The keyboard acts just as if it was connected to the
PC locally via a USB cable.
By default, the NGS-D320 is con
fi
gured to have keyboard and mouse operational.
The keyboard and mouse can be disabled, refer to "Encoder settings", page 35.
Software decoding
When having a setup between an NGS-D320 encoder and another Barco software decoder, refer to the
user manual of this speci
fi
c system.
When having a setup between an NGS-D320 encoder and a 3rd party software decoder, then keyboard
and mouse can function by running a VNC client on the software decoder. However, interoperability and
fl
uent operation cannot be guaranteed.
