3.5 Obtaining the Barco ICP-D certificate
In practice, the user need only the serial number (SN) of ICP-D to obtain license and complete the
installation process. So it is recommended to note the SN before inserting the ICP-D in the Card
Cage of the projector.
Required tools
• Smartphone (with auto-focus) equipped with QR code reader
• Web Communicator (on series 4 projector) or Communicator software (on series 2 projector)
Using the CertID label to download the ICP-D device certificate
1. Scan the QR code (reference 1) on the top of the security module of the ICP-D with a smartphone. It's
recommended to use a smartphone with auto-focus. The QR code reader will automatically redirect to the
ICP-D certificate download page on the web server.
Note: This method requires a marriage procedure (clearing security warning of the projector)
because the ICP-D need to be out of the card box to realize the QR code scanning. A good
practice could be to obtain the device certificate before first insertion of the card.
Note: ICP-D serial number (reference 2) is write under the QR code.

Using configuration software to obtain the ICP-D device certificate
1. On series 2 projector,
use Communicator software to retrieve the device certificate of the ICP-D. Refer to procedure ” How to get
the certificates for ICP or IMP “ in Communicator user guide.
or
On series 4 projector,
use Web Communicator to retrieve the serial number of the ICP-D. Refer projector user guide to reach
system information menu.
Note: Currently Web Communicator not allows to retrieve the device certificate itself, only the
serial number (SN) of ICP-D is available by this way.
