Convergence adjustment

What has to be done ?

Convergence adjustments affect both the horizontal and vertical lines of the setup pattern. These adjustments are performed on

the green image first, if green convergence is available, until these lines or straight and then on the red image while superimposed

on the green image and on the blue image while superimposed on the green image. Adjust the red and blue until they exactly match

with the green lines.

Adjustment order

Adjust first the coarse adjustment and continue with the fine adjustment. Within the coarse adjustment the screen is divided in 25

areas. By pushing enter the selected area jumps to the next area (auto select).

Within the fine adjustment the screen is divided in 81 (9 x 9) areas with no auto select.

Start up

1. Push the cursor key

to select 'Convergence' (menu 1).

2. Press

ENTER

to activate. The Convergence menu will be displayed (menu 2).

Select with

then <ENTER>

<EXIT> to return.

Coarse convergence adjustment

What has to be done ?

When green convergence is available, start always with 'green only' and continue with red on green and blue on green.

Start up

1. Push the cursor key

to select 'Green only' within the coarse adjustment (menu 1).

2. Press

ENTER

to activate. The Convergence selection menu will be displayed (menu 2).

The screen is divided into 25 areas.

Use the cursor keys to select the desired area.

3. Press

ENTER

to select this zone and to toggle the cursor keys to the adjustment mode.

Start the convergence adjustment with zone one and continue as mentioned in the image 1.

4. Use the cursor keys to make horizontal or vertical convergence adjustments in the selected zone (image 2).

5. Press

ENTER

to finish convergence adjustment and to toggle the cursor keys to the selection mode.

6. Press

EXIT

to return to the convergence menu when the convergence for that item is finished.

7. Repeat the same procedure for Red on Green and Blue on Green.

Select with

then <ENTER>

<EXIT> to return.
