3.3.3.  Fitting in a newly-built chimney breast

•  Clad the appliance on the top, sides and rear up to the front edge with an 

 

approx. 10 cm thick ceramic insulation wool fi reblanket. Leave a few   

 

centimetres clearance between the front of the chimney breast and the  

 

appliance. 

•  Use the four adjustable legs to set the height of the appliance and level off.  
 

(see pictures in section 3.3.2).

•  The appliance may not be installed against a fl ammable rear wall.

•  Make a good seal between the smoke outlet from the appliance to the  
 

chimney. See also 3.3.4. 

 

Ensure that the entire fl ue is gas-tight.  

•  Ventilate the chimney, by placing ventilation openings at the top and 
 

bottom of the chimney breast.
