2.4 GENERAL SERVICES
1. FLUE
Before installation, it must be verified that the flue has sufficient draw.
Remove all flue gas dampers (if present) in the flue or fix them in the open
position. The flue must be at least 2 metres long. In order to prevent
condensation in a masonry flue and, if necessary, to improve correct
operation of the appliance, it is recommended that the flue be fitted with an,
(insulated) aluminium or (flexible) stainless steel pipe of Ø100 mm
(minimum).
An protective cap must be placed on top of the chimney to prevent rain
entering.
2. COMBUSTION AIR SUPPLY
The combustion air supply has to comply with national and local
regulations. The minimum dimensions are detailed in “Technical Details/
Regulations” at the rear of this manual. The air supply opening must be
non-closable !!!
3. THERMOSTAT SENSOR
The appliance is equipped with a thermostat sensor which is normally fitted
to the bottom plate. The thermostat function can be improved by positioning
the sensor on the plinth behind the appliance.
Ensure that the sensor remains easily accessible at all times for service
maintenance.
4. GAS CONNECTION
The Ø12 mm or Ø15 mm gas connection, is located at the rear of the
appliance. Connect the gas supply to the appliance using the push
coupling. Use only gas piping with a minimum diameter of 1/2” G with a
shut-off valve.
