• After adjusting the air for the operation at the "minimum" output,
increase the power and proceed to define the operating curve
as described in the equipment manual.
•
Check the combustion using the specific instrument at all inter
-
mediate points on the modulation curve.
•
Having finished the air and gas flow adjustment, check the
actual gas flow rate by reading the meter. Avoid keeping the
burner running if the heating capacity is greater than the maxi-
mum amount allowed for the boiler, to avoid damaging it.
•
Upon defining the modulation curve, it is possible to have an
approximate estimate of the thermal flow rate delivered at the
intermediate points be measuring the gas pressure in the com-
bustion head.
• Connect a pressure gauge with scale appropriate to the port -16
and measure the gas pressure.
•
From the diagram obtain the thermal flow rate delivered, depen
-
ding on the value of the pressure measured without the back
pressure in the furnace.
IMPORTANT
This method permits only an approximate estimate of the
combusted thermal flow rate delivered, for a precise mea
-
suring, refer to gas meter.
Example
• Burner TBML 350
• Pressure measured on port G: Ptc = 25 mbar
• Back pressure measured in the furnace: Pcc = 4 mbar
• Head pressure value without the back pressure in the furna-
ce: P = 25-4 = 21 mbar
From the diagram, in correspondence of pressure P= 31 mbar, a
combusted thermal flow rate of about 3000 kW can be inferred.

AIR PRESSURE SWITCH FUNCTIONAL DESCRIPTION
The air pressure switch has the purpose of switching the equip-
ment into the safety (lock-out) state if the air pressure is not what
it should be.
The pressure switch must therefore be adjusted so that it is trigge-
red to close the NO contact (normally open) when the air pressure
in the burner reaches a particular value.
To ensure the air pressure switch correct operation, with burner at
the minimum output, increase the adjustment value until reaching
the triggering value which must be followed by the immediate bur-
ner lock-out.
Reset the burner by pressing the appropriate button and readjust
the pressure switch to a value that allows you to detect the air
pressure during the preventilation stage.
Air pressure sampling point is upstream the air shutters.
