IGNITION AND ADJUSTMENT WITH LIQUID
FUEL
• Make sure that there is fuel in the tank.
• Check that the nozzles fitted on the burner are suitable for the
boiler capacity. If necessary, replace them with suitable ones.
• The quantity of fuel delivered must not exceed the maximum
amount required by the boiler and the maximum amount allowed
for the burner.
• Make sure that motors (fan and pump) turn in the right direction.
• Check that there is water in the boiler and that the gate valves of
the system are open.
• Make sure that the combustion products may be freely vented
through the boiler and flue dampers.
• Make sure that the mains voltage corresponds to the manufactu -
rer's requirements and that all electrical connections made at the
installation site are effected properly as illustrated in our wiring
diagram.
• Turn the switch (1) on the control panel to the “O” position (open).
• Turn the fuel change-over switch to the “OIL” position.
• Start the fuel supply auxiliary circuit and check for its correct
operation, then set pressure to nearly 0,5÷3 bar if such circuit
features a pressure regulator.
• Remove the vacuum gauge connection plug from the pump and
slightly open the shut-off valve on the fuel pipe. Let fuel come out
until there are no more air bubbles, then close the shut-off valve.
In case no supply circuit under pressure is available, fill the pump
by pouring fuel into the supply hose.
• Fit a pressure gauge (full scale about 4 bar) to the pump vacuum
gauge connection point to check the pressure value at which
the fuel reaches burner pump. Fuel pressure must remain within
0,5÷3 bar also when the burner is off.
• Open the shut-off valves placed on the fuel pipes.
•
Power the burner from the main panel.
• Verify, by manually pressing the corresponding remote control
switches, that the fan and pump motors rotate in the correct
direction.
• Disconnect power from the main switch and reverse the two
cables of the main line to change the direction of rotation.
• Turn the main switch (1) to position "I" (closed) to supply power to
the equipment.
• Start operating the burner pump by pressing manually on the
remote control switch until the pressure gauge, which measures
the working pressure of the pump, indicates a slight pressure.
The presence of low pressure in the circuit confirms that filling up
has taken place.
• Close the thermostatic line by setting switch (2) to position "I"
(closed).
• If thermostats or pressure switches (safety and boiler) are closed
as well, the burner operating cycle will start.
• To adjust the minimum and maximum burner flow rate, refer to the
nozzle return flow/pressure diagram.
• Keep an indicative value of O2 between 3,5 - 4 %.
