To ensure optimal compatibility with the application the
sensor features four different setting options. These can
also be combined with each other as desired:
– Dark measurement
– Enhanced object detection mode
– Transparent object detection mode
– Averaging for distance information
The sensor offers among other the following additional
functions which can be enabled and configured using the
IO-Link parameters:
– Count function
– Operating hours counter
– Time functions
– Switching output and switching logic configurable
– Basic statistics
– Sensor principle background suppression/
background evaluation

These sensors must not be used in applications
in which the safety of persons is dependent on
the function of the device (not a safety
component acc. to EU Machinery Directive).
Before commissioning, carefully read the user’s
guide.

The CE Mark verifies that our products meet the
requirements of the current EMC Directive.
In our EMC laboratory, which is accredited by DATech for
testing electromagnetic compatibility, evidence has been
provided that the Balluff products satisfy the EMC
requirements of EN 60947-5-2 and EN 60947-5-7.
Disposal
This product falls under the current EU
Directive for WEEE, waste of electrical and
electronic equipment for protecting you and
the environment from possible hazards and
responsible handling of natural resources.
Dispose of the product properly and not as part of the
normal waste stream. Observe the regulations of the
respective country. Information can be obtained from the
national authorities. Or return the product to us for
disposal.

Installation
Caution!
Do not look into the laser beam.
Locate sensor so that it is not possible to look
directly into the light source even during
operation. No additional protection measures
are required (Laser Class 1 per
EN60825-1:2014).
