Thin Wall Stainless Steel Pipe and
Tubing
Thin wall stainless steel pipe has a larger I.D. than schedule 40
pipe. Check your pipe dimensions and install as shown. Use
gaskets with unlined valves.
Maximum allowable line pressure for the lined valve installation
shown is 60 psi. For higher line pressures use socket weld
flanges or use spacer rings identical to the ones used with O.D.
Tubing. (See Table 3)

6” O.D. Gasket I.D. should be valve body bore + 1/4”. (See Table
1) 3” tubing as shown in Table 3 does not require spacers.
