Tread Area
1. Tread Pattern:
The grooves in the tyre enable it to
evacuate water from the contact
patch when the road is wet.
2. Rubber Mix:
The rubber chemical composition
determines the durability and grip.
3. Profile:
The tyres profile influences the
stability and maneuverability.
4. Tread Area:
The only point of contact between
the motorcycle and ground. This absorbs bumps and ensures comfortable ride.
5. Carcass:
Supports the load of the motorcycle and contributes to comfort & stability.
6. Bead:
Bead consists of steel wires & it holds the tyre on rim. It is supported with bead filters which
provides high durability and maneuverability.

Tubeless
The inner tube is
integral within the
tyre, known as inner
liner. The valve is
permanently fixed to
the rim. The assly is
airtight.
Components : Tyre,
Tube with Valve and
Rim.
Loss of air is very
slow, after getting
punctured, because
a i r c a n e s c a p e
through the point of
puncture only.
Instant air leakage.
T h e a i r u n d e r
pressure finds a way
between the tube,
tyre and through the
rim hole.
Difference between Tube Type & Tubeless

Limitations of Tubeless Tyres
Construction Difference
Tubeless
Inner liner is made of Butyl Rubber.
Advantage : Air permeability of butyl rubber is
very low.
Inner liner is made of Natural Rubber.
Advantage : Air permeability of natural rubber is
very high.
Note : Construction of Tubeless & Tube Type differ in compound of inner liner.
Tube Type
•
Air leaks, if rim bends.
•
Air leakage through bead damages.
•
Get rim straightened by rim straightening
machine.
•
Always follow proper mounting procedure.

Better heat dissipation.
•
Cost saving on tube.
•
No tube related problems.
•
Air can escape through the point of puncture
only.
•
Lightness in weight of tubeless tyre.
•
