SECTION 8 - REPAIR/REPLACEMENT
INTRODUCTION
Repair procedures are limited to module replacement. If the
MFC module fails, remove and replace it with another. Verify
that firmware revision levels match and that replacement
switch settings are the same as the failed module. Refer to
Table
for a list of recommended spare parts.
MODULE REPLACEMENT
Follow Steps 1 through 5 to replace the MFC Module.
1. Turn the two concentric screws one-half turn either way to
release them. The notches on the screws point away from the
middle of the module when they are unlocked.
2. Grasp the screws and slide out the module.
3. Set the switches on the replacement to match the settings
of the MFC you have just removed.
4. Hold the module by the faceplate and slide it into the slot;
push until the rear edges are firmly seated in the backplane
connectors.
5. Turn the two concentric screws one-half turn clockwise to
lock the module into the Module Mounting Unit. The module is
locked when the notches on the front of the knobs are pointing
toward the middle of the module.
