LUBRICATION AND MAINTENANCE
The
DG-500 Grinder / Sander operates in an environment with high amounts of dust and grit.
Because of this. most lubrication would simply pick up the grit and cause increased wear to the
machine and its parts. Therefore, the primary method of keeping the machine working surfaces
in good order is
KEEPING THE MACHINE AS CLEAN AS POSSIBLE . Before using the tilt
table or table raising mechanism the operator should use a stiff brush to remove excessive dust
and grit from the tilt mechanism and table raising gear rack.
•
Check daily for any unsafe conditions and fix immediately.
•
Check that all nuts and bolts are properly tightened.
•
On a daily basis clean the machine and the area around it.
•
Wipe the unpainted table top and column with a rust inhibitive lubricant.
Note: Proper maintenance can increase the life expectancy of your machine.
WARNING:
Make sure the electrical disconnect is OFF before working on
the machine.
Maintenance should be performed on a regular basis by qualified personnel.
Always follow proper safety precautions when working on or around any machinery.
