3 Initial Setup
3.1 Scope
Before usng the PCA 2, you MUST:
• Install batteres, or plug n the optonal AC power adapter (Secton 3.2)
• Connect the probe and hose assembly (Secton 3.3)
• Check, and f necessary, make changes to the analyzer’s confguraton
(Secton 3.4)
3.2 Power
3.2.1 Installing or Replacing Batteries
Ether alkalne or NMH rechargeable batteres can used to power the an-
alyzer. Note that f rechargeable batteres are used, they can be recharged
whle nstalled nsde the analyzer usng the optonal AC power adapter
(refer to Secton 3.2.2).
Install or replace the batteres as descrbed below:
1. Remove battery cover from back of unt (Fgure 3-1.)
2. Remove (and properly dspose of) any old batteres.
3. Install a set of four ‘AA’ alkalne or NMH batteres, per the “+” and
“–” markngs nsde the battery compartment.
4. Replace battery cover.
