The amount of auxiliary heat required can be substantially reduced by the use of positive
closure dampers at the unit air discharge (see
Figure 11
). The dampers remain open as
long as the unit run state is active and remain closed whenever run state is inactive. The
heat loss data can be found in
Table 1.
