Securing Backless Booster Seat in Vehicle
- Vehicle lap belt must be positioned low on
the hips, contacting the thighs.
- Never use shoulder belt loose, positioned
under child’s arm, or behind child.
• Vehicle lap/shoulder belt must be properly positioned
on child. Use vehicle shoulder belt positioner to center
vehicle shoulder belt on child’s shoulders.
• Discontinue use of Backless Booster when top of child’s ears
are above to edge of vehicle head rest and vehicle seat back.
• If child will not keep vehicle shoulder belt properly positioned
on shoulder, DO NOT use this booster seat. Use a different child
restraint system.
• Do not allow child to slide down in booster seat which could position
vehicle lap belt across child’s abdomen and should belt over neck
and face.
• The booster seat MUST NOT hang over the
front edge of the vehicle seat. (Fig 65-1)
