7. Attach the Tether Strap and tighten.
• Fasten the Tether Hook to the vehicle
tether anchor point. (Fig 42-1)
• Tighten the Tether Strap securely by pulling the
free end of the Tether Strap firmly toward you as
shown. (Fig 42-2)
Note: To loosen/lengthen the Tether
Strap, press on the Tether Adjuster button
while pulling on the Tether Hook.
8. If the vehicle seat position is not equipped with tether anchor, store
the Tether Hook and Tether Strap.
• Lengthen the strap and slide the
Tether Hook onto the lower edge of the
booster seat as shown. (Fig. 42-3)

Securing Toddler Seat in Your Vehicle
1. If vehicle seat back is adjustable, adjust into the upright position or
the position or the position specified in the vehicle owner’s manual
for use with a Car Seat.
2. The FastBack has (3) recline positions when
used as a toddler car seat. Adjust the seat
recline to the desired position for your child.
To adjust the recline angle pull the Recline
Handle and adjust the Recline Foot up or
down. (Fig 41-1)
3. Place the Car Seat firmly against the back of a forward-facing vehicle
seat.
4. Thread the vehicle seat belt through the belt slot openings as shown.

Fig 39-3) (Vehicle Lap Belt only, no Tether Strap and for children
under 30 lbs: Fig 40-1)
5. Buckle the vehicle seat belt. Note: The belt MUST NOT be twisted.
6. Tighten the vehicle seat belt by pushing down hard with your hand or
knee in the middle of the Car Seat. Then pull the vehicle seat belt to
