6.7 Booster Car Seat Installation without Canopy Use
1. Remove harness and buckle from car
seat. (See section 6.3 page 93) for
removal of harness and buckle.
2. Adjust booster car seat to recline
position 5. (See section 5.15 page 68)
for base recline.
NOTE: The base recline must be in
position 5 while in booster car seat
mode. NEVER use rear-facing recline
foot in booster car seat mode.
3. Place Booster car seat in an automobile
seat with a Lap/Shoulder belt and does
not have an active Frontal airbag. If the
vehicle seat back is adjustable, adjust
into the upright position or the position
specified in the vehicle owner’s manual
for use with a car seat (Fig. 85a).
4. If Canopy will not use used in Booster
car seat mode, lower adjustable
headrest. See section
(5.11 Height Adjustment page 54)
and rotate canopy to top of Booster car
seat. After rotating canopy back to top
of car seat raise Booster car seat raise
adjustable headrest to position

5. Thread shoulder belt into the lower
slot of Booster Shoulder Belt Guide
located on the underside of the
Head Support.
- Slide shoulder belt into open end of
slot, around Belt Retainer Tab and
into Inner Slot of Head Support
( Fig. 86a).
NOTE:
Vehicle shoulder belt must
slide freely in Booster Shoulder
Belt Guide.
6. Place child in Booster Car Seat with
child’s back and rump contacting
seating surfaces (Fig. 86b).
