IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
Please read through the following safety
precautions carefully before switching on the
kettle. Keep this instruction manual in a safe
place for future reference. Failure to follow all
the instructions listed may result in electric
shock, fire or serious personal injury.
•
Check if the voltage and power supply on
the rating plate of the appliance comply
with the mains electrical supply (must be
AC = Alternating Current).
•
The kettle is not intended for use by
persons (including children) with reduced
physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or
lack of experience and knowledge unless
they have been given supervision or
instruction concerning use of the
appliance by a person responsible for
their safety.
•
This kettle can be used by children aged
from 8 years and above and persons with
reduced physical, sensory or mental
capabilities or lack of experience and
knowledge if they have been given
supervision or instruction concerning use
of the appliance in a safe way and
understand the hazards involved.
•
Children must not play with the kettle.
•
Always keep the kettle out of reach of
children. Close adult supervision is
necessary when the kettle is used by or
near children.
•
Always place the kettle on a stable, flat,
heat-resistant surface. Also ensure that
the surface can take the weight of the
unit during use.
•
Do not place the kettle on a metal tray or
metal surface during use.
•
Do not place the kettle on or near a hot
gas or electric burner or in a heated
oven.
•
Do not hang the power cord over the
edge of the worktop where a child could
reach it.
•
Do not place the kettle where the Power
Cord could fall into a sink.
•
Do not allow the power cord to hang
over sharp table edges or come into
contact with hot surfaces.
•
The kettle must not be used near or below
curtains and other combustible materials.
•
Never run the power cord across an open
space, for example between a low socket
and a table.
•
Never run the power cord across a
cooker or toaster or other hot areas,
which might damage the cable.
•
The power cord should reach from the
socket to the Power Base [6] without
straining the connections.
•
The kettle should only be used for its
intended purpose.
•
Do not leave the unit unattended when in
use.
•
Care should be taken when using the
kettle as it reaches very high
temperatures.
•
Do not move or lift the kettle while it is
operating or while it is connected to an
electrical socket.
•
The use of attachments, not specifically
recommended by the manufacturer,
must not be used as they may cause
personal injury or damage to the
appliance.
•
Do not operate the kettle if the plug or
power cord has been damaged, is not
working properly, has been dropped or
filled with liquid other than water.
•
Never use the kettle if it is damaged in
any way.
•
Under no circumstances should you
disassemble or repair the device yourself,
as faultless functionality can no longer be
guaranteed thereafter. Failure to comply
will result in voiding of the warranty.
•
All repairs should be done by any of our
special repair agents. Improper repairs
may place the user at risk.
•
Check the power cord carefully regularly
for possible damage. If the power cord is
damaged in any way, it must be
replaced by the manufacturer or its
service agent or a similarly qualified
person in order to avoid an electrical
hazard.
•
When handing this product over to a third
party, ensure that this instruction manual is
supplied with the appliance.
