5.2. Moving around
The commode chair can then be moved by an assistant. The assistant
can move, steer and brake the commode chair using the push handle.
Commode chairs have only limited anti-tip and anti-slip security.
Particular care is necessary when braking, starting to move or turning
on sloping ground. Leaning out of the commode chair to an extreme
degree increases the risk of tipping over.
5.3. Using the commode
Using the commode
Remove the commode container from the commode chair by pulling it
out of the guides from the back.
Usage on the toilet
The commode chair can be used on the toilet without the commode
container. First remove the commode container as described above.
Now the TS-1 can be moved over any standard toilet.
Lifting points
You can lift the commode chair by the metal frame in order to carry
it over obstacles or stairs. Avoid lifting the commode chair by the seat
and backrest.
6. Transport
To make the commode chair as easily transportable as possible, the
backrest with armrests can be removed, as can the foot rests.
7. Storage and shipping
If the wheelchair is to be stored or shipped, all removable and
unsecured parts must be removed and packed separately in boxes. The
separately packed parts can then be packed into one larger box. We
recommend keeping the original packaging so it is available for this
purpose if required. It provides optimum protection for your wheelchair
from environmental influences during storage or transport.
8. Repairs
Repairs and maintenance must be done by authorised specialized
dealers only. To find a specialized dealer in your area please contact
our customer service department at +49 (0)700/6000 7070.
