4.3. Foot rests
The footrests can be fitted and removed in just a few steps.
Folding up the foot plates
The foot plates (Fig. 04) can be folded upwards by simply lifting them.
This can be useful when storing the TS-1 in a restricted space.
Foot rest height adjustment
The foot rests can be adjusted in height according to the individual
length of the lower leg of the user.
•
Undo the hexagon nut M13 (Fig. 05).
•
Slide the foot rests along the guide rail to the desired position.
•
A suitable height of the foot rests is achieved when the user's
thighs rest flush with the seat with the feet on the foot rests.
•
Re-tighten the hexagon nut and check that the foot rests are
securely in position.
•
Repeat the procedure on the opposite side.
Folding away and removing the foot rests
To facilitate getting in and out the commode chair, the foot rests can
be folded away and removed.
•
Undo the locking mechanism.
•
Swing the foot rests outwards or inwards.
•
To remove them, first swing the foot rests outwards (Fig. 06); they
can then be pulled up out of their mountings.
•
Follow these instructions in reverse order to fit the foot rests.

4. Assembly and adjustments
Your new B+B commode chair is pre-assembled in a B+B original box.
Attached parts are supplied separately to prevent damage during
transport.
You can carry out the adjustments of your commode chair yourself with
a little manual dexterity. If you have any queries, please contact your
specialized dealer.
4.1. Fitting the backrest
•
Push the backrest into the frame tubes on the back, and fix it in
place using the hand screws (see Fig. 02).
•
To remove the backrest, undo the hand screws and pull the backrest
up and out of the fixtures.
4.2. Arm rests
The armrests can be swivelled upwards in order to allow sideways
transfer and make it easier to use the chair.
•
Unlock the armrests by pulling out the pin (see Fig. 03). The
armrests can then be swivelled upwards.
•
When swivelling the armrests downwards, make sure that you hear
them audibly lock into place.
