Stopping the mower
To minimise possible risk of accidents, the engine of your lawnmower is coupled to the
operator control level. When the operator control lever is released, the engine and the
blade will stop turning automatically.
If there is a build-up of grass beneath the chassis, stop the engine, remove the spark
plug cap and wait until the engine has cooled before clearing the grass.
When the engine has been switched off, the cutter continues running for several seconds
therefore do not touch the underside of the mower until the cutter has come to a standstill!
Check before use!
Check the safe condition of the device:
– Check the device for leaks.
– Check the device for visual defects.
– Check that all parts of the device have been securely fitted.
– Check that all safety devices are in proper condition.
– The safety systems or protection devices of the machine must not be modified or disabled.
– The withdrawing or modification of protection devices components lead to danger of injury.
Danger of injury!
Do not operate the device unless you did not find any faults.
DANGER! If a part has become defective, make sure to replace it before you use the
device again.
Once the machine has been set up properly, start the engine as follow:

Pull back on the brake lever and hold it against
•
Release the clutch lever. This will prevent the mower from moving forward when you
operate the starter.
•
With the starter handle in its support, take the starter handle with your right hand and
pull slowly as far as to have a resistance, then pull energetically on the starter handle
with starter rope through the support. (If the cold start is not sufficient enough, repeat
this o peration 2 or 3 times)

Let the engine running for 10 to 15 seconds. It is now ready to start mowing.
WARNING:
The cutting blade turns when the engine is being started.
Note:
Do not start the motor in tall grass
Good maintenance is essential for safe, economical and trouble-free operation. It will
also help reduce air pollution.
The purpose of the maintenance and adjustment schedule is to keep the machine in the
best operating condition.
Turn off the engine before performing any maintenance. If the engine must run, make
sure the area is well ventilated. The exhaust contains poisonous carbon monoxide gas

equivalent quality may damage the machine.
Please never use non approved components and never remove the safety devices.
Maintenance
Clean the outside of the machine.
Clean the air filter. Replace if
necessary.
Check that nuts and screws are
tight.
Check that the blades are undamaged
and show no signs of cracking or
other damage. Replace the blades if
necessary.
Check that the blade guard is not
damaged or distorted. Replace the
blade guard if it is bent or damaged
