9. Maintenance / Cleaning
CAUTION

Maintenance/cleaning chapter
is intended only for experts. Maintenance,
cleaning and repair work must be carried out by experts only.

To ensure proper operation of the inline sight glass, it must be cleaned and maintained at regular intervals.
The inline sight glass is subject to vibrations during operation which can cause the threaded connections
to come loose. To prevent damage, check the inline sight class for loose connections at regular intervals
(recommended interval for single-shift operation: 3 months).

individual bought-in components.
WARNING
The shutdown procedures (see section 5.4) must be carried out before any clean-
ing, maintenance or repair work (by experts only). These procedures should be
adjusted where required by the work in question (e.g. CIP cleaning).
To clean the product when installed, simply wash the surfaces that come into with media the fluids
(CIP-cleaning).
Cleaning agents:
3% nitric acid
max. 60°C
3% caustic soda
max. 80°C
Make sure to:
- Use only clean and chlorine-free water.
- Dose carefully and avoid overly strong concentrations of cleaning agent.
- Rinse with plenty of clean water after cleaning.
CAUTION
Store the cleaning agents in accordance with the relevant safety guidelines.
When handling cleaning agents, follow the safety instructions on the cleaning
agent manufacturer's data sheet. Always wear rubber gloves and protective gog-
gles when cleaning. Make sure not to touch the non-return valve or pipeline when
processing warm media or during the sterilisation process.
