8.1 Disassembly from the System
8.2 Assembly with Glass Cylinder Replacement

1. Check the seals (Pic. 7-1, item 5) and the glass cylinder (Pic. 7-1, item 3) for damage.
2. Clean the installation space and check for any damage.
3. Clean the glass cylinder (Pic. 7-1, item 3) and the safety screen (Pic. 7-1, items 1, 2).
4. Place the seal (Pic. 7-1, item 5) in the fl ange (Pic. 7-1, item 7).
5. Position the glass cylinder (Pic. 7-1, item 3) in the fl ange so that the glass cylinder is not in contact
with any metal.
Note
Proceed carefully and meticulously to avoid damage.
6. Push the safety screen (Pic. 7-1, items 1, 2) over the glass cylinder (Pic. 7-1, item 3).
7. Carefully set the counter fl ange on the fl ange without damaging the seal (Pic. 7-1, item 5) and screw it
in place in a criss-cross pattern.
8. While screwing it in place, check the alignment of the glass cylinder between the fl anges and adjust it
if necessary. Tighten the hexagonal nuts in a criss-cross pattern.
9. Check for leaks under operating conditions.

temperatures over 60°C.
8. Assembly / Disassembly
When disassembling the inline sight glass from the system, proceed as follows:
1. Carry out the shutdown procedure as instructed in 5.4.
2. Drain the piping system.
3. Undo the hexagonal nuts on one side (Pic. 7-1, item 4).
4. Separate the fl anges (Pic. 7-1, item 7).
5. Remove the glass cylinder (Pic. 7-1, item 3) with seal
(Pic. 7-1, item 5) and the safety screen (Pic. 7-1, items 1, 2) from the fl ange.
Note
Disassembly must be carried out by experts only. Always ensure that the shut-
down procedures are followed before starting any disassembly work.
