Begin by removing the engine cover by carefully pulling it upward, as seen in
Figure 1

NOTE:
Always refer to the manufacturer
’
s service manual for precise torque specifications on
all OEM fasteners.
CAUTION:
The engine may be
VERY
HOT —
allow adequate time for the system to cool
down before disassembly. Severe burns and injury will occur if skin comes into contact with a
hot engine.
Remove the OEM inlet duct, by removing the 2 screws pointed out in
Figure 2

, then carefully push
it towards the engine and remove it from the vehicle, shown in
Figure 2

Note: These screws will not be reused with the AWE carbon inlet duct.
