FRITZ!Box Fon WLAN 7170 – 7 WLAN: Wireless Local Area Network
The MAC address is generally printed on a sticker on the
base of the device. If the base station is a FRITZ!Box, en-
ter the address you printed out as described in the sec-
tion “Configuring FRITZ!Box Fon WLAN as a Base Sta-
tion” on page 62.

Make sure that the FRITZ!Box Fon WLAN and your base
station are located in the same IP range and that both
devices have been assigned an unique IP address.
Please note that the repeater subsequently can only be
reached via this new IP address!

Click on the “Security” settings page.

Set the kind of encryption used on your base station
and use the same password as you did for the base sta-
tion.

Click “Apply”.

The “Repeater Settings” window appears. It displays
the repeater settings of the FRITZ!Box. All settings must
correspond to the settings in the base station.
This concludes the configuration of the FRITZ!Box Fon WLAN
as a repeater.
