Network considerations
The Network Module is built into the column and sup-
ports a Gigabit switch which passes network from wired
or wireless infrastructure to other wired network devices,
like the Cisco SX20 endpoint, Laptop or small form factor
PC The network module can be used in one of two ways:
connected to the network infrastructure by Ethernet cable
or over the Wi-Fi infrastructure
Please refer to
Connecting to network
in this guide For
additional information and advanced network configura-
tion, please see “CA310: Configuring the Wireless Network
Module” found at

Wireless connection
The CA310 can be configured to work on a wireless net-
work with the optional Silex WiFi Bridge Module or cus-
tomer provide WiFi Bridge This provides network to the
video codec, network out of the console port, and for an
optional PC
Wired connection (Ethernet)
An Ethernet connection from an active network jack into
the Ethernet port under the work surface provides network
to the video codec, network out of the console port, and
for an optional PC
NOTE
The bridge ports of the network module are
disabled when the system detects a wired
network connection To enable wireless, discon-
nect the Ethernet cable under the work surface
