64-Channel Systems
When used with the optional AN‑16SBR System Bridge, Pro16 input and
output modules can create digital snakes of up to sixty‑four channels. Up
to four input modules and four output modules can be used in a variety
of combinations to create a flexible and reconfigurable audio distribution
network. Console cards can also be used as input modules.
Aviom’s Pro16 products work in modules Systems can be configured as:
64 channels send by zero channels return (64 x 0 ) •
48 channels send by 16 channels return (48 x 16) •
32 channels send by 32 channels return (32 x 32) •
16 channels send by 48 channels return (16 x 48) •
0 channels send by 64 channels return (0 x 64) •

: When using the AN‑16SBR System Bridge to create a digital snake,
the Expansion jacks on the Pro16 input and output modules are
not used.
System Bridge
The AN‑16SBR System Bridge is a two‑part accessory that takes in up to four
A‑Net data streams and combines them for transmission. A single Cat‑5e cable
can then be run to the destination. At the destination, another System Bridge
is used to separate the A‑Net streams. The four separate A‑Net data streams
can then be connected to Pro16 A‑Net compatible devices as needed.

The front and rear panels of the System Bridge
The System Bridge contains four A‑Net connector jacks, labeled A, B, C, and
D. These accept standard Cat‑5e cables from individual Pro16 products.
The Bridge jack of the System Bridge can accept a standard Cat‑5e cable or
one fitted with the EtherCon connector. The Bridge jack will always connect
to another System Bridge’s connector of the same name.
