Do either of the following, as appropriate:
• If the desired slot has a blank slot cover, remove the slot cover by unscrewing the two Philips head screws that secure the cover
to the Stage IO unit. In the following image, the slot cover in slot G of a Stage 64 is highlighted.
• If the desired slot already has an IO card installed, see “Removing an IO Card” on page 11 and then return here to continue
installing the new card.

Remove the new I/O card from its packing material and hold the card by its edges.

Make sure the latches on the port on the back of the card are pushed inward (closed) as shown in the figure, below.

Make sure the port latches are pushed inward before proceeding.
