Setting the Encryption Keys
Use this option to set the key values for encryption. Once you save a key
and exit the option, you cannot view the key values. There are four keys.
Refer to “Basic Security Configurations” in Chapter 4 for more information on
setting encryption key values based on your encryption method.
Note: Since you cannot view key values, keep a list of your key values in a
safe place for future reference.
After you set the key values, select a key to use based on your network’s
encryption method. See “Setting the Key Index” for more information.
1. From the Configure menu, select Keys .
2. Press D or U until you see the key you need to set, then press e to edit
the value. For example:

Press D or U to scroll through the hex characters for each field. The hex
characters appear in the box and the ASCII equivalent character appears
under the hex character.

Press R to select the character shown and move to the next field.
5. When you are finished, press R until you see e . Press e to save the
setting or press X to exit without saving changes. You return to the Keys
menu.
