Preparation of zone C2 for technical alarms
Control panel AF53907 offers the possibility of using zone C2 for technical alarms, for example, by
removing jumper J1 seated on the board, as shown in figure 1. In this way the zone becomes a
24h-type zone and, a special dedicated output (terminal 15) will be enabled as soon as an alarm is
emitted. This output can be used to control a telephone dialler, for example. Under these conditions
outputs related to terminals 17-20-22 (anti-intrusion alarm) remain disabled.
• Jp1 inserted:
zone C2 operates as a standard anti-intrusion zone
• Jp1 not inserted:
zone C2 operates as a 24h-zone and controls the output related to terminal 15.
system test (detection)
As described below, a “detection test” can be carried out to test the real volumetric range of each
detector:
1)
Move the mechanical key to the OFF position
2)
Disable all the zones (by using pushbutton P1)
3)
Pass through the detector covering area and make sure detection has occurred by checking that the
detector LED and the zone LED seated on the control panel have switched ON.
note:
: Under these conditions the TC output varies at a fixed frequency thus allowing to reset the
alarm memory every second.
This type of operation does not influence the detectors without alarm memories.
Exiting from the “test status” occurs automatically after 30 seconds from the last alarm event (contact
opening) on one of the seven input lines. The control panel returns to its standard status thus erasing
all zone exclusions.
auxiliary functions
1)
Output for service acoustic warning device. 100mA 13.8V open-collector type output.
It is enabled as follows:
• in intermittent mode for the entrance and exit times (pre-alarm)
• upon connection (for the duration of the exit time), continuously if one or several lines are excluded
(zoned system condition), and/or if one or more lines are open (not ready condition).
2)
Counting the number of alarms with the control panel in service. If the number of alarms from a zone
exceeds 3, the zone itself is automatically excluded.
Analogously, if the overall number of alarms from all
the zones exceeds 8, all the zones are excluded. The count is increased only if the previous alarm cycle
is over and is reset every time the system is disconnected.
3)
Monitoring the power supply system. A control circuit signals the flat battery (voltage lower than
10.5÷11V) as follows:
• In disconnected mode: alternate flashing of the LEDS on the point of acti fast flashing of all the
zone and tamper LEDs on the control panel until the battery voltage is restored. The system cannot be
connected.
• In connected mode: a last and definitive alarm cycle. The control panel functions are fully reset as soon
as the battery conditions return to be normal. The low battery alarm is stored like any other alarm; it
makes the activation point green LED flash immediately and makes all the zone and tamper LEDs on the
control panel flash quickly as soon as the system is disconnected (alarm stored). At this point, to reset
the memory it is necessary to connect the system as for any other alarm.
