Notes:
1. The higher speed and bandwidth of the IP406 V2 platform (running 2.1+
software) is because the IPsec encryption and decryption processing is now
performed in hardware. The encryption and decryption hardware for IPSec
removes this processing overhead from the CPU. In this way the throughput
performance for IPSec is significantly increased. The IP Small Office, IP403
and IP412 platforms IPSec encryption and decryption processing within
software.
2. The bandwidth figures quoted above are for VoIP calls
without
data.
Therefore, as VoIP calls take precedence in transmission, consideration
should be made to reduce the number of VoIP calls where data is to be
transmitted. E.g. an 80/20% ratio between VoIP and Data is recommended.
